Mobile Apps that Make Learning Fun

Quackenworth has a number of engaging apps and interactive books that make learning fun! Our apps are developed to adhere to proven academic research and state/national education standards. Our goal is to help improve student performance as well as prepare students for the 21st century workforce by offering products that provide opportunities for differentiated instruction, response-to-intervention, and other conventional educational approaches. Our apps are geared toward early literacy (vowel sounds, sight words, and phonics) and foundational math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts). They include animated characters, professional voice narration, and many more fun, interactive features that provide the foundation for life long learning. English Language Standards

Reading: Foundational Skills> Phonological Awareness>Phonological Awareness> Kindergarten
• Recognize and produce rhyming words.
• Count, pronounce, blend, and segment syllables in spoken words.
• Blend and segment onsets and rimes of single-syllable spoken words.
• Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in
three-phoneme (consonant-vowel-consonant, or CVC) words. (This does not include CVCs ending with /l/, /r/,
or /x/.)
• Add or substitute individual sounds (phonemes) in simple, one-syllable words to
make new words
‍• Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes).
Reading: Foundational Skills> Phonics and Word Recognition> Kindergarten
• Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of one-to-one letter-sound correspondences by
producing the primary sound or many of the most frequent sounds for each consonant.
• Associate the long and short sounds with the common spellings (graphemes) for
the five major vowels.
• Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is,
are, do, does).
• Distinguish between similarly spelled words by identifying the sounds of the
letters that differ.
